After flying into Durban, we will be transported to our comfortable lodge accomodations inside the Hluhluwe Game Reserve for a "Big 5" African Safari over 4 days and 3 nights.  Accomodations and meals are included, as are spectacular up-close, open vehicle safari spotting the "Big 5" African animals.  Enjoy onsite spa treatments, relaxing poolside while taking in the view of the preserve, and nurturing delicious meals.  

 

Next we will be driven to beautiful accomodations at the sea's edge, and begin our ocean adventure with 2 days of shark and shoal diving on the Aliwal Shoal.  This will include two dives each day and will include four shark, wreck, and reef-style dives.  This colorful shoal boasts  all kinds of sharks including tiger, hammerhead, and reef in addition to rays, nudibranch, colorful fish, wrecks and more.

We will then embark on a short journey to settle in at the lodge for our sardine run dives over the next 8 days, following the sardines and witnessing all the wildlife that comes to feed on them including humpback whales, dophins and sharks.  In addition, manta rays, and other sealife fill these waters during the sardine run with the abundant food sources the sardines draw in.

 

This trip is snorkel OR dive, so if you have a companion who doesn't scuba dive this is the perfect trip for you!  Following the morning dives, depending on how the group is feeling and how conditions are that day, we will either continue our sardine run outings in the afternoon as well OR participate in their extensive and adventurous land program including guided horseback, hiking, engaging with the local village, and more!

Our program uses ultralight aircraft to spot and follow the sardines and big sealife we are there to see - so we spend less time looking for it and more time with it.   Additionally, each participant will get the opportunity to take an ultralight flight over the breathtaking vistas (weather permitting) - included in your package!

The comfortable lodge is located right off the beach where our boats will debark from, and you will never feel more peace and connection with earth than in this pristine, natural, wild locale.  The comforts of home, including delicious hot meals, a pool, and very comfortable cabins will greet you each evening after a day of adventure.  Accomodations and meals are included, and full bar is available at your own cost.
